Knights Time to Give Print

Tenth grade English II classes sponsored a fundraiser and designed bracelets reminding everyone that "It's Knights Time to Give."  The inspiration for this project emerged from reading a book entitled, Eric.  The book is a true story about a teenage boy whose life and family was changed forever when he was diagnosed with leukemia.  Eric was a strong individual who strived to be his best even in the worst of times, just like a Black Knight.  The students were very devoted to selling the bracelets both in school and in the community and heard many people share their accounts of dealing with illness.  With the funds, the classes purchased grocery cards for a member of the school community who has also been diagnosed with cancer.  The classes are very thankful for everyone who bought a bracelet or made a donation.  To learn more about the book Eric visit http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/results.asp?WRD=doris+lund
